Our Journey from Naples
'BriarStead' started as a small aspiration: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Bianchi family in 1985, our pizza place began as a quaint, locally operated business with recipes that have been in our family for generations.
Marco Bianchi, our esteemed founder, mastered the craft of pizza creation while exploring throughout Italy, receiving guidance from renowned pizza chefs in Naples, the origin of pizza. Following her return to the UK, her goal was to reproduce the enchantment of genuine Italian pizza, employing ancestral methods and the best ingredients available.
What initiated as a humble establishment with only 12 seats has flourished into a much-loved neighborhood fixture. Despite our growth, we maintain our dedication to excellence and genuineness. We continue to utilize traditional wood-fired oven methods, freshly prepare our dough every day, and seek out top-tier ingredients.
Today, 'BriarStead' is still held by the Bianchi family, with their second generation currently directing our enthusiastic staff. Though we've adopted new techniques, the essence of our business remains unaltered: to create scrumptious, authentic pizzas that unite people.
